Jesse Sykes wins 2nd annual Show Layton Your Talent competition

After 16 performances, the judges and audience crowned recent Northridge High graduate Jesse Sykes as the winner of the second annual Show Layton Your Talent competition at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater in Layton, Utah.

Sykes impressed the judges with his hip-hop/modern dance routine and walked away with the first place prize of $1000.  When he was announced as the winner, Sykes was so excited he couldn’t help but give Layton City Mayor Steve Curtis a big hug, who was on stage to present the prize money.
The dance crew Noiz won second place with a creative hip-hop dance routine of its own, earning the prize of $500.  Kelsie Call won the third-place prize of $250 with an impressive and beautiful piano piece.
The Davis Arts Council would like to congratulate these winners for their memorable performances, and also thank all 16 finalists who put on such a wonderful show for the community.  We look forward to continuing this tradition for many seasons to come!
